The Gold Mining sector buoyed by Government’s statements

The Guyana Gold and Diamond Miners Association (GGDMA) welcomes the continued  commitment to the sector given by the Government of Guyana. Recent positive statements by the Vice President and the Minister of Natural Resources regarding the critical importance of the mining sector to Guyana’s current and future development is well received by miners.

Gold Miners must increase production to reach 2024 targets

The Guyana Gold and Diamond Miners Association (GGDMA) is calling on gold miners to ramp up production and redouble their efforts to reach the 2024 annual production target of500,000 Ounces. Gold mining remains a major source of foreign exchange earnings for the Guyana economy and all efforts must be made to ramp up expansion and production.
