The Guyana Gold and Diamond Miners Association (GGDMA) calls on the Guyana Election Commission (GECOM) to obey the rule of law in relation to declaring final results for the 2020 elections.

Following numerous requests from miners and their representative organisations, the GGDMA, GWMO and NMS, the Minister of Natural Resources Hon. Raphael G.0 Trotman, M.P., has issued a directive to the Guyana Geology and Mines Commission to extend the “Final Amnesty” for miners regarding the payment of rentals.
Newly-elected president of the Guyana Gold and Diamond Miners’ Association (GGDMA) Andron Alphonso has called for unity in the industry to project a single front to promote mining interests in Guyana.
