The Guyana Gold and Diamond Miners Association (GGDMA) has recently had several engagements with the Ministry of Health (MOH), MOH Vector Control Services, MOH National :Malaria Programme and Breakthrough ACTION Guyana on malaria and its effects on miners and the mining sector.

(Saturday February 17, 2024) President Dr Irfaan Ali met with an executive team from the Guyana Gold and Diamond Miners Association this evening. The primary focus of the discussion was on the development of the mining industry, particularly measures to enhance production and productivity across the sector.

The Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) will be hosting its Open Day every Wednesday from 09:00hrs to 12:00hrs at the ministry located on Duke Street (opposite the US Embassy).
(2023/12/11) – The Guyana Gold and Diamond Miners Association (GGDMA) stands firm with the Government and people of Guyana on the sovereignty of Guyana and the ownership of the Essequibo region. The GGDMA joins with the Government and people of Guyana to mourn the loss of our brave soldiers and recommit our efforts towards Guyana.
The Guyana Gold and Diamond Miners Association (GGDMA) extends its deepest condolences to the families, relatives and friends of the five (5) soldiers who perished in the GDF helicopter crash;

We also wish the two (2) survivors Corporal Dwayne Jackson & Lieutenant Michaeal Crawford a speedy recovery.
