LABOR NEEDS IN THE MINING SECTOR – GGDMA TO HOST JOB FAIRS

(Saturday March 2, 2024) The Guyana Gold and Diamond Miners Association (GGDMA) is seeking your assistance to ascertain the current labor needs in the mining sector. In order to be able to capture the data on the workers needed for the Mining Sector, the Association is reaching out to all of its members.

In this regard, you are kindly asked to provide a listing of all the vacancies you currently have as it relates to your mining operations or to your support services to your operations. Your listing can vary from specialized skilled | Labor, skilled labor, general workers, and laborers.

Once received, the Association will be able to have a better understanding of  the current labor needs of the Mining Sector, which will be used to plan a series of Job Fairs nationwide during the month of March 2024.

The objective of the job fairs would be to highlight the various categories of job openings in the mining sector and receive applications from interested individuals nationwide. When these applications are received, they will be sent to the various miners and companies who would have responded with specific labor needs.
