President Dr Irfaan Ali met with an executive team from the Guyana Gold and Diamond Miners Association
(Saturday February 17, 2024) President Dr Irfaan Ali met with an executive team from the Guyana Gold and Diamond Miners Association this evening. The primary focus of the discussion was on the development of the mining industry, particularly measures to enhance production and productivity across the sector.
Also present at the meeting were Senior Minister Dr Ashni Singh, who is responsible for Finance within the Office of the President, Minister of Natural Resources Vickram Bharrat, Commissioner General of the Guyana Revenue Authority Godfrey Statia, and Deputy Commissioner (Technical) at the Guyana Geology and Mines Commission Jimmy Reece.
